will get a baragin. MOT until 27th August 2012Taxed until the end of February 2012Priced to sell quickly because I just want it off the drive to make room as we have 3 other cars! Payment by cash on collection only please.I bought it from a lady in my town last February when my current car (subaru) was written off due to someone running into it. I was left without a car and needed something to get me and my family around in until I found a replacement Subaru. The car has been so good I have kept it for nearly a year whilst casually looking around, and am only selling it because I have at last found a suitable quality Subaru to replace the one that was damaged.The car is in very good shape considering its from 1996.It has just been cleaned inside & out ready for sale.It has a professionally fitted towbar with twin electrics, (i only towed a garden trailer with it about 3 times though)It comes with a spare rear number plate for towing or as a spare. The car drives spot on and is very economical returning over 50mpg on a run and high 40`s in town.This is a turbo diesel but not `injection` what this means is that is is a VERY simple diesel engine without modern fancy electrics.It has good tyres with plenty of tread left on them.Included in the sale is a cd radio I think its a SONY one.All the electrics work except two rear door pin switches (to turn the interior light on) as they broke off, this is a common fault.Also the drivers side electric window has been moving slowly in the cold weather and generally struggling a bit.The interior is generally very good with little worn SEAT logo fitted overmats. There is a small hole in the drivers seat back boulster from wear but it looks okay.I have 3 key blades (2 new unused 1 old & worn) but only 1 key head. The key head had a remote built in it but the battery ran out about a month ago and I have been using the key in the drivers door to unlock the car.There are a couple of small areas showing the beginning of rust bubbles (see rear wheel pic on arch fron for worst) but this has been like this since I got the car and doesn`t seem to be getting much worse.At some time in the past it has been resprayed on one rear door at least and if you look hard you can see its a slightly different shade of silver. Also on this door there is some tiny bubbles from the painting process but I think only I would ever notice them they are very small.The car does not use any oil or water and under the bonnet looks cleaner than the 2000 model Subaru I have just bought. The oil & filter was changed last summer, it also had new glow plugs and alternator belt.The car looks much younger than it is and with 105,000 miles is quite low considering these engines go to double this easily.I replaced the alternator belt because it started to squeak and it has been perfect since however in theis weeks cold weather I have noticed on startup there is a feint chirp that stops after about 20 seconds. I think it is just because its cold and if the weather ever gets above freezing it will stop however at worst it may need tightening.It has a stamped service book until 69229 miles in 2009 and a few bills since but I will be honest not many as the elderly couple I bought it off couldn`t find all the records since they owned it. I was told by the ladies husband that the cambelt was changed during their ownership and subsequently noticed someone has actually written `78000 cambelt` on the cam cover in marker pen so perhaps this was when it was done but I dont have a bill to prove this unfortunately. All I will say is that if you take one look at the engine bay you will see this car has been properly looked after.These engines are quite noisy as they are good old fashioned diesel motors, not a problem but thought I should mention this in case it puts anyone off.For those of you who have VW T25 camper vans then I am told that the engine in this car is the perfect one for conversion. I called into a vw independant garage in the town where I work and asked them about it and they looked at the engine and said the following;"The engine code is AAZ and therefore is bulletproof! The crankshaft pulley is fine and doesn`t wobble which is important aparantly? It has a high powered pump on it (I think this means diesel pump). Someone could buy this car and take it into a garage along with their T25 and they would have everything needed to do a straight swap."Forgive me if this is wrong or this doesn`t make sense but I dont know much about these campers and only investigated this because someone in a carpark with a vw van once told me the engines are worth £800! I dont want anything like this much so maybe this is the bargain of the century!A courtesy e-mail from any serious bidders is much appreciated.Call Liam for a viewing on 07952181764.  | 2000 SEAT CORDOBA S GREY . | I have owned this car for the last five and a half years and in that time I have never had any problems with the car. | It starts first time every time...>
even when we have been away and left it unattended for few weeks. | The only things we have replaced due to general wear and tear are a new clutch 2 years ago, tyres and a rear back box which was replaced on 12/01/2012. | Only known faults | On the heating system everything works well, power and heater temp, but ever since we bought the car we haven’t been able to change the air control direction from upper to foot well heating. We think this is due to a spring or armitage that has come loose, but as we wouldn’t use this setting we have never bothered having it investigated. | The only other known fault is we have 2 keys, one is a remote the other is not. The batteries went recently in the remote key, we had them replaced by a reputable car parts shop but now the remote does not work. We think it needs reprogramming although it still works manually. | In general the car is in excellent condition for the year and is extremely reliable. Considering it is only a 1600 engine it is very nippy. | This is a reluctant sell due to a change in financial circumstances. | Any inspection welcome by appointment. | X | £950.00 | |||||||
